Riscure announces a new service dedicated to embedded code review. Embedded code in hardware is that is permanently stored in a device’s non-volatile memory, such as ROM or flash memory. This code is executed by the device’s processor or microcontroller and is responsible for controlling the device’s functions and behavior.
Riscure has received its formal accreditation for delivering PCI MPoC Security Services to the solution providers that wants their solutions to be certified against the MPoC standard. MPoC stands for Mobile Payments on Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and it’s a standard for accepting payments on mobile devices (e.g. smartphones / tablets). The main use case of MPoC is small merchants in a mobile environment, for instance taxi drivers or market merchants.
