The Dutch Baseline Security Product Assessment (BSPA) provides a fixed format security evaluation for a product intended to be used within the Dutch Government. The evaluation provides vendors the opportunity to have their IT security products independently assessed against the requirements and it helps government organizations to select the product that meets the requirements. The BSPA covers eight categories of products, namely: Network Security, network filtering, detection and response, secure messaging, media and file security, identity and access management, secure OS execution environment, hardware and embedded software including smart cards and similar devices.
