The High Power Glitch Amplifier acts as a power source for any device consuming up to 10 Amps continuously and 15 Amps peak current. The output can simply be connected into the power line of the target. The High Power Glitch Amplifier buffers VC Glitcher or Spider output voltage so glitches may be injected directly into the target. With a predictable gain, reliable timing and fast response it is able to deliver the glitches as set by the user.

Glitch voltage and timing for the VC Glitcher or Spider can be set using the Inspector FI software package. The High Power Glitch Amplifier will match the voltage levels provided. Two KeySight E3633A power supplies are delivered as part of the High Power Glitch Amplifier package. One is used as negative power supply and the other as positive power supply.
Instead of connecting the Current Probe to monitor power consumption and glitch during testing, two integrated power monitors output the signal. This allows for a cleaner setup in the characterization and identification phase and is safer to operate. The DC current monitor output is capable of covering 0 to 1 MHz. The AC current monitor provides the frequency range from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. The output is low-noise and could be used in scenarios where some side channel analysis work on power is required.
