Which study did you follow?
My academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in general mathematics. From there, I pursued a master’s degree in mathematics, specializing in cryptography. This allowed me to dive deep into fascinating topics like elliptic curves, lattices, quantum cryptography, corrector codes, and cryptanalysis.
What was the topic of your research?
During my internship, I worked on fault injection attacks targeting the rejection sampling process in the Dilithium signature scheme. It was a truly inspiring and fascinating subject that challenged me to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experimentation.
How did Riscure support you in carrying out the research?
Right from the start, my tutor introduced me to all the people who were ready to help whenever I faced challenges. Weekly meetings with my tutor were invaluable, motivating me to find new solutions and stay on track while consistently improving my work.

What made you choose Riscure for your internship assignment?
I first learned about Riscure during a university conference where one of their team members spoke about their work in Side-Channel Analysis (SCA) and Fault Injection (FI). Coming from a more theoretical background, I was eager to dive into these topics while applying the knowledge I had gained during my studies.
What is the most memorable thing about working at Riscure?
The most unforgettable moment was finding the solution to a problem I had been working on for weeks. The sense of accomplishment, coupled with seeing my first results, was incredibly rewarding. Starting my fault injection campaign was also a highlight—it was entirely new territory for me, and learning and experimenting with unfamiliar tools and techniques was exhilarating.
