Set top box and mobile TV technology implement SOCs for stream decoding and HD media processing. The security features are for instance used to protect stream decryption keys and maintain the integrity of the program code during execution.

Mobile phones

Mobile phones and PDAs implement SOCs as baseband processors and processors for media processing. The security features are for instance used for locking the SIM to the handset or network, storage of media decryption keys and to control software updates to the firmware.

Personal media players

Personal media players implement SOCs for secure decoding of HD audio and video.

Game consoles

Game consoles implement SOCs for graphics acceleration and control over what games can be loaded and played. Decryption keys are stored locally and security boot loading and runtime integrity checking mechanisms prevent loading of unauthorized code.

Routers

Network routers and switches implement SOCs for high speed switching and broadband. The main focus in this application is on performance rather than advanced security features.
